Find Upscale Deals and Unique Finds at A Whale of a Sale, April 11-14

The Junior League of Oklahoma City (JLOC) hosts its annual fundraiser, Whale of a Sale, April 11-14, at Quail Springs United Methodist Church, 14617 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Shoppers are invited to peruse the upscale rummage sale for plenty of deals and unique finds, featuring designer clothing, toys, home decor, furniture and other gently loved treasures.

“Whale of a Sale is a community event with multiple benefits,” said Kimberly Swan, Whale of a Sale chair. “Members and friends of JLOC donate items, freeing space in their homes and then those lovely things can be enjoyed by new owners at a great price. And all the money raised helps us support our community.”

Whale of a Sale raises funds to support the mission of the Junior League of Oklahoma City. Proceeds from sales help fund numerous vital health- and wellness-focused community projects in the Oklahoma City metro and allows JLOC to train volunteers to support the community.

“The only thing better than finding a remarkable deal is knowing that the dollars you spend are also going to help others,” said Adrienne Nobles, JLOC President. “An investment in the Junior League of Oklahoma City is an investment in your community. For nearly a century, our organization has empowered women through intentional training and development who then empower our community through dedicated service. We thank the Oklahoma City community for supporting us in our efforts by shopping this one-of-a-kind event.”

Whale of a Sale is Friday, April 12 through Sunday, April 14. Hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday and Saturday and Noon-4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free.

In addition to three days of general shopping, Whale of a Sale offers early bird shopping 6-9 p.m., Thursday, April 11. Admission is $10 and grants early access to all the items in the sale.
