JLOC Leadership Institute
ABOUT THE JLOC LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE
The Junior League of Oklahoma City is proud to announce an exciting new chapter for our Leadership Institute. Launched in 2018, the program has graduated over 150 members and played a key role in developing confident leaders. Now, the program curriculum for the JLOC Leadership Institute is evolving.
This enhanced program is designed to better prepare members for leadership roles within JLOC and the broader nonprofit sector. In partnership with Oklahoma City University’s Nonprofit Leadership Graduate and Certificate Program, participants will engage in a tailored curriculum focused on nonprofit governance, strategy and impact.
Upon completion, members will earn a Nonprofit Leadership Practitioner Certificate from Oklahoma City University, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to serve on nonprofit boards, JLOC Sustaining Advisor roles and the JLOC Board of Directors.
This innovative partnership represents a significant step forward in our desire to be a premier training organization for women leaders across the Oklahoma City metro area.

The JLOC Leadership Institute is a dynamic leadership training program designed to equip a select group of 20 Junior League Members with the tools to lead effectively—both within JLOC and across the broader nonprofit sector.
Through an 8-session curriculum, participants will build practical skills in nonprofit leadership, governance, and community impact. The program emphasizes hands-on learning, exposure to diverse community needs, and the development of board-ready leadership capabilities.
Graduates of the program will leave empowered to effect meaningful change and ready to serve as confident, knowledgeable leaders in the Oklahoma City community.
Participants will meet at leading nonprofit organizations across the metro area, gaining first-hand insights into local missions and operations.
